Create a New User

Master users can add new users to the Brokerage Location.

 

To create a new user in SLIP:

  1. Navigate to the User List screen by clicking the Users tab.
  2. Click Create New User.
  3. Enter information in the Profile section on the Create User screen.
  4. Adjust the selections in the Permissions section as needed.
  5. Assign the new user to a Broker or Brokers by selecting the checkboxes next to the Broker Number(s) in the Associated Brokers panel.
  6. Adjust Email Notification preferences as needed.
  7. Use the Eligible Insurers panel to select the Insurers that will be available in the Insurer selection dropdowns when editing transaction data.
  8. Click Add New Transactor in the Transactors panel.
  9. Enter information in the fields in the Add Transactor modal.
  10. Click Save at the bottom of the Create User screen.
Hints:

User Names cannot exceed nine characters and must be unique.

First Name and Last Name characters are restricted to alphabetical letters.

First Names and Last Names cannot exceed 40 characters.

Email Addresses should be submitted in standard email format.

The following Permissions are selected by default for all users:

If a parent Permission is deselected, the checkboxes for its child Permissions (if they exist) are deselected.

The system automatically deactivates a SLIP user’s account one year after the Broker’s License Status is changed to “Inactive” or “Cancelled”. SLIP User Accounts for all users associated to the license are deactivated unless the user is a member of another active Broker Location.

Master Users cannot remove permissions or associate/disassociate Broker Locations for other Master Users associated to the same location.
